Description

The Granary, situated in the village of Scurlage on the stunning Gower Peninsula, is a 300-year-old Gower grain store, converted and finished into a comfortable holiday cottage to the same high standards as the other two cottages on site - Cob Cottage and Pigsty Cottage. The smaller of the three cottages, it makes an ideal place for a couple who needs to get away from it all and have some quiet, down time, but there are plenty of places to explore during your stay here too. The Granary has a cozy lounge/diner with a large leather sofa and a log burner to make it even cozier for those colder evenings, perfect for resting your feet after being out and about. The lovely, bright and spacious upstairs bedroom has a small double bed, plenty of storage, an en-suite bathroom and even a TV for you to enjoy. Outside, you can make use of the large garden, that your pets are bound to love, which is shared with the other two cottages on site.

Scurlage is a small village but has a shop for your convenience, and a café just up the road for you to fuel up at before heading out to explore the delights of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where there's a long list of breath-takingly beautiful beaches to discover with unspoilt views that will truly captivate you such as Oxwich Bay, Three Cliffs Bay and Rhossili. Some bays and coves are great for those looking for a bit of an adventure as access is only by walking down to them. You can also walk from bay to bay, or take a hike along Worm's Head. Less than 2 miles down the road from your accommodation, you'll get to the village of Port Eynon where there's a pub, a beach bar, fish and chip shop, a gin distillery and the closest beach to you which is a dog-friendly, blue flag sandy beach that's suitable for watersports. Other attractions that can be enjoyed in the Gower include Gower Heritage Centre, Periswood Archery and Falconry, and castles such as Pennard Castle and Weobley Castle.
