Description

If you are looking for a traditional Welsh holiday cottage, then look no further - Middleton Hall Cottage (the birthplace of the explorer - Edgar Evans who was a member of the Polar Party on Robert Falcon Scott's ill-fated expedition to the South Pole in 1911-1912) has wonderful views over the Rhossili countryside and out across the Bristol Channel to the Devon coast.

The cottage backs onto Rhossili Down, with a rich variety of bird life and freely roaming ponies and donkeys, which can be appreciated from the open plan layout of the ground floor. There are plenty of walks in all directions from the house, including Mewslade, Fall Bay, Worms Head, Rhossili beach and Llangennith.

Reviews

What a place , good view and a good peaceful place to relax

Mr H,

The cottage was fabulous. Beautiful location and views with good space, inside and out, for five adults, twin babies and three dogs! Very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Enjoyed the sheep and wild horses coming and going in the fields over the fence and up and down the road!

Mrs L,

We had a lovely week with everything we needed. The view from the garden was stunning. Our dogs loved the horses and sheep.

Mrs T,

We had a wonderful family holiday with our dogs at Middleton Hall Cottage. The views from the garden were fabulous and being able to walk to Rhossili and Mewslade beaches was great.

Mrs C,

A lovely cottage in such a beautiful location. Stunning views and great walks into small village of Rhossili. The beach is wonderful and dogs can go on all year. Lovely coastline walks to smaller beaches too. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped. Perfect for a family holiday.

Mrs F,

Enjoyed the location of this cottage. Access to the downs is lovely. Pity about our weather, rain and the downs creates a lot of mud! The views are stunning when the sun is out. And the walks to both Rhossili and Mewslade beaches very doable.

Mr S,

Excellent location and stunning view of sea. House was good for what we needed for our family of 5 people and 2 dogs. Secure garden for dogs. Access was easy on the day.

Mrs T,

A beautiful cottage in a stunning location. The cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable. The cottage had a lovely feel to it and we felt very at home.

Miss P,

Location

The village of Rhossili is on the south western tip of the Gower Peninsula. Located on a ridge, it affords spectacular views over Rhossili Bay and Worms Head, a fascinating outcrop of land comprising two rocky islands joined to the mainland by a narrow causeway accessible only at low tide. The village boasts a pub, cafe, shop and National Trust gift shop.
