Reviews

Overall the cottage was cosy and we enjoyed our stay in this lovely area that we know very well. We contacted the agency about the upstairs toilet and they were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this property but it really needs some TLC in all rooms before I would recommend, and having a decent hoover would help too.

Mrs M,

Beautiful location and local pub/hotel in walking distance The cottage lacked cleanliness. However well equipped with a beautiful log burner and heating system which kept the cottage warm especially at this time of year.

Mrs M,

Enjoyed a lovely stay in Robin Cottage. Found it to be a very comfortable and welcoming cottage with plenty of space and adequately stocked with all the items needed to make your stay home from home. The decking in the rear garden does get very slippery when wet, so care is needed, but our dog enjoyed the safe and secure garden. Reynoldston is a picturesque and peaceful village, with a great pub and village shop. The cottage is perfectly situated to enjoy all that The Gower has to offer with nothing in the region more than a 20 minute drive away. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely revisit.

Mr T,

Two ceiling lights and one lamp didn’t have bulbs. The upstairs toilet was broken and although reported in the first night it was not repaired during our stay. Two of four cups were chipped. Towel rail not fitted correctly Some rot in bathroom near shower. The location makes up for a lot, overall it was comfortable.

Mrs B,

Stayed for 2 weeks in mid September, beautiful area to stay, lovely beaches and walks, the cottage was in a great location and we really enjoyed our, just make sure you close the front gate or the sheep wander in and leave their calling cards. Would highly recommend .

Mr S,

The cottage is in a great location, but poor cleanliness and maintenance really let it down. We arrived to dog hair covering all the carpets both upstairs and down, a full bin, dirty kitchen surfaces, bed not made, black mould around the bath, light bulb missing, a broken towel holder and an overgrown garden with large weeds through the patio (not like the photo at all!) The kitchen chairs were also in a poor state and one collapsed when one of our party sat down. A real shame…

Miss G,

Enjoyable cosy stay

Mrs R,

Beautiful location, friendly people and lovely hotel with good food nearby.

Miss M,

Curtains hanging off the rails, wood all rotten around the bath because the shower curtain was hanging off so impossible to stop the water splashing all over the floor Black mould on the walls, plastic flowers in bedroom mouldy and covered in dust, gardens front and back overgrown and full of weeds and prickles. Washing up bowl disgusting and badly stained sink drainer etc. barely enough toilet paper for two people for a week and a dribble of washing up liquid.

Mrs K,

Lovely location and cottage was clean. Bedrooms very nice and cosy. Lovely pub a short walk away with lovely food. Just feel an update needed on living room and patio area. Downstairs bathroom Lovely just the bath needed attention. Other than that a lovely holiday.

Mrs J,

Cottage is in a good location for walking and exploring the Gower Peninsula. Unfortunately the cottage is not as shown in the photos. The grass was overgrown and the patio poorly maintained. The deckchairs had seen better days. Livingroom smelt of dogs and needs a deep clean as mentioned by other reviews. Kitchen well equipped.

Mrs L,

Overall the house was ok. The location was the biggest plus point. Centrally located with a short drive to all the beautiful beaches. We were very disappointed by an overgrown garden, broken garden furniture, and mess left by a previous dog! It was nothing like the pictures on the website. Our dog refused to go on the garden as the grass was so long and full of dandelions which attracted the bees. The house needs some attention to detail, a bit of modernising and a thorough floor clean.

Mrs M,

A lovely cottage for us and 2 dogs, warm and cosy on arrival, we would come back again.

Mr M,

We would recommend this cottage. It was warm and cosy without feeling cramped and is in a very good location for visiting Gower and local amenities. The very steep stairs are a consideration for parties with children or people with mobility issues.

Ms J,

Lovely quiet location and central to the beaches locally - all within a 15 minute drive away and less. We loved our stay so much that we have booked later on in the year. If you venture to 3 cliffs bay soon, walk down to the beach on the left hand side as recent rains have made it amazingly muddy, unless you've got wellies on. Can highly recommend.

Mrs C,

Although advertised as no welcome pack. we felt that there could have been the bare minimum of essentials (tea, milk, eggs, bread etc). Arriving after 4.00pm in winter in a village, we were very fortunate to just arrive in time, the local post office was open so we could buy these items. Also advertising as a dog friendly property is all well and good but there no mention of the local pub not accepting dogs unless outside which as you can imagine is not practical during winter.

Mr H,

Had a lovely stay at Robin Cottage, very comfortable, warm and clean. Great location. Village pub does fantastic food and was only a short walk away. Great beaches and lots to do in the area.

Mrs A,

The cottage is located in Reynoldston which is a attractive village with a small shop. The village pub is lively and the clientele friendly, and it provides good pub food. Reynoldston is in a very central position on the Gower and within 15 minutes by car of the lovely Rossili, Oxwich, Port Eynon and Broughton Bays. Visiting Rhossili Beach from Llangennith, is worth while, a short walk through the sand dunes opens out onto an amazing stretch of sand. There are also some lovely castles to visit, particularly Weobley and Penrice (although you can only walk near the latter).

Mr W,

Location

An ideal location for walkers, Reynoldston is situated on the Western slopes of Cefn Bryn, in the heart of Gower offering breathtaking views of the peninsula coastline over the Bristol Channel to Lundy Island, Devon and Exmoor, North towards the Brecon Beacons and West to Carmarthenshire.
