Reviews

High standard of hygiene, even in drawers and cupboards, which are so often missed. Excellent shower pressures and a lovely deep bath! Equipment was generally good and a sharp set of knives are always a bonus. Beds and pillows super comfortable. We visit Oxwich at least twice a year (I am originally from Bishopston) and have always previously stayed in one of the various accommodation incarnations of the Oxwich Bay Hotel. We really wanted a change this year and were so pleased we did! Netherend is a far more affordable and comfortable option, particularly with our dogs and yet less than 5 minutes to the beach. Would definitely recommend this house and we would book again.

Ms R,

A really comfortable house, and a perfect base for exploring. Fantastic to be able to walk to the Beach House restaurant for an amazing meal. Great kitchen and well equipped. We had a lovely couple of days and would love to return.

Mrs C,

Gorgeous cottage in a fantastic spot. Very well appointed and felt spacious for the five of us and our dog. Great for your pets as has everything you need, but the front garden is not secure if you have small dogs, who can easily get out through gaps in the hedge. Lovely touches such as the welcome hamper and the Xmas tree were very much appreciated for our festive getaway.

Ms L,

This is a real gem of a place. We enjoyed our time immensely and loved getting out to explore the local sights and walks. Lovely to be able to walk to the beach and then come home to a cosy house with everything you could need. So well equipped for our 1 year old too - couldn’t fault a thing!

Mrs S,

Amazing location for local beach - only 5 min walk. Bedrooms great size especially main with en-suite. Comfortable kitchen/diner and lounge. Beware that sofa is quite low.

Mrs M,

Clean and cosy house in a great location close to Oxwich beach. The kitchen at Netherend was well-equipped with plenty of cupboard-space, and there were two dishwashers! We really enjoyed the lovely hot showers and comfy beds, however the sofa is very low. Our dogs appreciated popping into the garden, but there are gaps in the hedge so would not be secure for smaller or more adventurous dogs. Such a delight to be able to walk on Oxwich beach every day!

Ms T,

Netherend is in the perfect location, walking distance to the beach and a short drive to many of the tourist spots in Gower. It’s a very comfortable home with all the amenities you could ask for , not to mention the most cosy beds I think we’ve ever slept in!

Mr W,

We loved our stay at the cottage. It was spacious enough for three generations. Well equipped for all needs. And a super location for exploring the Gower. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the property to anyone visiting the location. There was also a lovely welcome gift of drinks and snacks which was a nice touch. Just ensure the cleaners don't let the property down.

Mrs L,

Lovely comfortable, well equipped home, in a good location.

Mrs M,

We had a fabulous week in Netherend. House is modern, spacious and well equipped. Lovely garden and an excellent position for walking to the beech and making trips around the area. Also close to shop with basic provisions.

Mr M,

Netherend suited our needs for a family holiday very well (2 infants, their parents and 2 of their grandparents). It is very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Located an ideal distance from the beach, short enough not to be a too much of a toil taking the beach kit backwards and forwards, whilst being beyond the sound of the occasional evening revellers. The garden is well maintained and the private terrace at the back opening out through french windows from the kitchen provides a specially good place to BBQ (although you'll need to provide your own BBQ kit).

Mr C,

What a lovely house! Really well appointed and a great location. We had lots of lovely walks in between the rain, and enjoyed cosy times indoors when it was wet outside.

Mrs B,

thank you we have had a lovely stay in a lovely place with excellent facilities - very comfortable, warm , very good showers, our weather was kind for march so we felt lucky and enjoyed the house mostly in the evening, beds comfortable showers wonderfully hot tv had very poor reception on terrestrial TV impossible to watch the rugby so we paired our phones with the TV to watch the rugby

Mrs H,

We really enjoyed our time at Netherend. The place is beautiful, well presented, very clean and all the amenities needed for our stay. We really enjoyed the area, Oxwich is a beautiful part of Swansea and the locals are so friendly, including the pheasants who visited us in the garden whilst we were staying. We'd highly recommend and look into booking again in the future. Thanks for having us

Mrs W,

An excellent home, with good facilities and an ideal location.
