Reviews

We had a lovely time at High Kiln - the house had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable.

Mrs S,

Absolutely stunning location. It is a beautiful house but probably not very suitable for people with mobility issues. We loved sitting in the lounge admiring the views. The deck would be amazing on lovely warm sunny days and has very comfortable outdoor furnitue. The beds were very comfortable, but not keen on the bunk beds. Overall a lovely large, warm and comfortable house

Mr S,

Idyllic cottage in a stunning location, perfect for a quiet getaway

Mr M,

This is a fabulous location, the accommodation is of good quality and the views from the deck are so relaxing-we have visited several times and will return.

Mr B,

A real sun trap with the outside seating area. House was very well equipped.

Mr T,

We loved the location of the house, it is so relaxing, & in beautiful surroundings. I was going to rebook for next year, but the £200 price hike is not acceptable, especially as it wasn’t very clean & did lack some equipment.

Mrs S,

What an amazing house, a little out of the way, but very secluded and quiet. It is very modern, well equipped and very clean. Slade beach is only 5 mins walk away, and can only be accessed via the costal path so no hoards of people. Lovely big windows makes the house open and light, the balcony for sitting out with friends is superb. Great garden for hide and seek. We had a great time thank you.

Mrs H,

Fantastic location and amazing views. The main area and decking was used well with high temperatures one day and fire roaring the next! Would go again highly recommend. The lack of some kitchen essentials is a little strange when the house has so many other nice touches.

Mr R,

Well designed property with a fantastic deck in the sunshine. King-size bed very comfy, but bunk beds are not! No basic supplies supplied ...washing up liquid, tea, coffee, dishwasher tabs which have always been in previous self-catering properties ..just a 'starter' pack would have been sufficient and easy to purchase for the owners. Don't leave anything 'accidentally' behind in the cottage as rental company charge you a fortune to even go and look. Asked for a later than 10 am checkout on a Sunday, but was told no ...however we had to return to the house as something forgotten and by 11.30am no sign of cleaners... not impressed. Whilst properly is lovely it needs a spring clean and more thoughtfulness for the customer. Overall we wouldn't return due to cleanliness, no basic supplies and rental company service

Mrs C,

On the whole the house was lovely and ideal location, but we did object to the owners/groundsman coming on a Tuesday at 10am to mow the lawns, we were sat on the balcony and had to go inside. There is a 6 hour window on a Saturday when this should be done.

Mr B,

Had a very enjoyable week at this property despite the challenging weather! House was comfortable and warm and a fabulous view. Plenty of beautiful walks from the front door which our Border thoroughly enjoyed. There’s plenty of places to visit and eat within a short drive. Despite the awful weather we found plenty to do.

Mrs W,

Location

Oxwich is one of South Gower's most picturesque villages typified by thatched roofed cottages and with a castle and interesting Saxon church located just a stones throw from the sea. It is nestled in the curve of Oxwich Bay- a beautiful, wide expanse of sandy beach stretching all the way to Three Cliffs Bay.
