Description

The Stable is a delightfully cosy and rustic studio space for two people featuring beams, vaulted ceilings, an exposed stone wall and a flame effect gas stove set in an oak beamed fireplace. The smaller of the two barns (the other being the Granary ref: 407) also has a sofa bed in the lounge which caters for 1 additional person.

Full of rustic features and charm, this Grade II Listed stone cottage is situated on Glebe Farm in Cheriton, a peaceful hamlet in North Gower close to the magnificent sandy beaches of Llangennith and Rhossili.

The farm is thought to be the oldest building on the peninsular, dating back to the 12th century and with beautiful countryside views and the most idyllic rural setting, a stay at Glebe Farm Barns really is a chance to enjoy a sense of being away from it all.

Reviews

We choose this cottage for the peace and quiet and it didn't let us down just what we needed .There are enough walks and areas around locally for you to get steps in and then the quiet relaxation later. Our dog loved it too .The little bench up the small hill on the property was lovely to sit with a drink and admire the amazing views. The owners made us feel very welcome and you can get fresh eggs from them which are lovely and fresh you can hear the chickens that laid them .The pub is five minute walk away so was lovely on a evening to walk with our dog have a couple of drinks and walk back be careful as it does include walking on the road but not much traffic so all good .So glad we found you thank you

Mrs F,

A lovely converted barn for a self catering holiday. Superb location set in the beautiful countryside. A good base for exploring the Gower, quiet and peaceful. A good pub 10 mins walk up the road serves excellent food and very reasonably priced.

Mrs N,

The location is Well located and conform to the description, confortable , and well equipped. Thanks for the Fredy eggs et thanks for the kindness of the owners.

Mrs P,

This barn conversion was set in an idyllic spot, quiet and no in a very pretty village, everyone was very friendly Sat Nav was not accurate. Accommodation is located as you enter Cheriton on the right hand side not on the corner by the grassed area on the left. Location was perfect to visit the amazing beaches which are all dog friendly. We took our young dog who was welcome at the accommodation and at the local pub (Britannia Inn). The accommodation was perfect for us providing a great place to relax, would love to go back in the future. Highly recommend and would love to go back in the future.

Mrs S,

Not everyone has a sat-Nav and some of the directions to the Stable need to be updated I.e The Greyhound Pub no longer exists. The area was peaceful and quiet and the owners were happy to help with any problems.

Mr S,

Very welcoming and friendly owners, a calm and quiet place to relax,

Dr K,

This barn conversion is excellent for 2 people. The place is comfy and warm in winter. The outdoor place is lovely for a summer day. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom excellent. The location is excellent for the local pub and community shop. Walks from the door are plentiful.

Mr M,

Perfect for two people and a dog.

Mr W,

Warm and welcoming, the property was clean and well equipped. The owners were friendly and helpful hosts. The Britannia Inn is 10 mins walk away and is to be thoroughly recommended. The history of the area is very interesting. Local shop and pottery well worth a visit, as is Cwm Ivy cafe.

Mr C,

Location of the property was excellent, although the road leading to it was a bit challenging, being single track in parts. The property itself was beautiful and perfect for us two with one dog. It was very clean, spacious and fully equipped. There are plenty of walks out from the village and the local pub, The Britannia is definitely worth a visit.

Mr P,

Just marked down the score for the equipment at the property as there was not an ice box in the fridge. It was a warm week and ice in our gin and tonic would have been nice.

Mrs Joanne P,

Location

While places such as Mumbles, Langland, Oxwich and Port Eynon to the south of Gower are popular destinations, the hidden beauty of Gower can be found in the north of the peninsula.
