Description

Westfields offers superb views towards Oxwich Bay. It is set back from the road, surrounded by large gardens to the front and rear and with fields on 3 sides making it ideal for children and a perfect rural retreat. The large patio at the front of the property, and most of the rooms, have panoramic views towards the sea.

There are several beautiful beaches nearby. Oxwich Bay, which is a 5 minute drive, provides 3 miles of stunning sandy beach, water sports and a castle. You can stop for a drink in the hotel or dine in The Beach House, a Michelin starred restaurant. The further along the beach you walk, the fewer people there are. At the eastern end of Oxwich Bay is Tor Bay and the iconic Three Cliffs Bay. Behind Westfields is Cefn Bryn - a ridge that runs through the heart of Gower offering walkers 360 degree views towards North Devon, the Black Mountains and Carmarthenshire. Westfields is ideally placed for walkers of all abilities to access walks along coastal paths and the Gower Way.

Reviews

Exceptional. The place feels huge with all of its windows everywhere, ensuring you enjoy every aspect of the Welsh view on offer. Beds were soft and cozy. Heating is so easy to use! Kitchen is massive. Only nuisance is the busy main country road it sits on - its not walker friendly so you do need to drive literally everywhere, but it's an easy price to pay for this wonderful place.

Mr M,

Fabulous house in a brilliant location. Fifteen minutes to Rhosilli and about the same or slightly longer to Caswell Bay and the other beaches around Mumbles. Wonderful views from the house across to Oxwich bay. House is very well equipped which meant we could prepare meals on the days we didn't eat out. Comfortable beds and spacious accommodation if the weather is against you. The Gower Inn is less than ten minutes to the east (you've got to try their Naughty Chips!) and The King Arthur about five minutes west, you are spoilt for choice. The only frustration is that although there is a footpath just to the rear of the property but it's not accessible from the property itself. That means a short walk along the narrow road (no pavement) to get onto the many footpaths around the area. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

Mr S,

A very spacious and comfortable property in an excellent location for exploring the Gower.

Mr W,

Lovely place, good location and nice cottage!

Dr B,

A very well located cottage with fantastic views to Oxwich Bay from the front garden and patio and to the moors to the rear. Set in a peaceful location with good access to the Gower area. The cottage was equipped with everything you would require. Very spacious and comfortable.

Mrs W,

Westfields was fantastic. It is a spacious property with fabulous views in a great location. Loads of outside space, plenty of parking, quiet. Its light and airy and very comfortable. It was an absolute pleasure to stay there. Its quite central, so all parts of the Gower are easily accessible. Sitting on the patio in the evening enjoying the view was a huge treat. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend and would love to return.

Mrs B,

Good location with lovely views and garden. The house was well equipped. Comfortable beds. It was difficult getting out of the driveway onto the road especially looking to the right.

Mrs B,

A lovely property in a great location, it was very comfortable, especially the beds. The view down to Oxwich was beautiful and the cottage was really well equipped and large enough for five of us. The utility room and laundry facilities were really handy. The kids loved the garden, and I loved the chairs to take in the view!

Ms K,

Lovely spacious holiday home with wonderful views. Very clean and comfortable. Quiet location but easy reach of many places. Loved it!

Mrs W,

We had a great stay in Westfield's cottage. The garden was an excellent playground for our two-year-old son.

Mr M,

We had a wonderful time at this house. Although the beach can be seen from the property, it was not possible to walk there. A car is needed to get round to places. We loved the coastal walk to 3 cliffs bay and our trip to Rhossili Bay. Would recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet getaway.

Mrs B,

Absolutley lovely set up and location! Loved our week here. would strongly recommend!

Mr H,

Amazing location couldn't ask for anything more for the price. Everthing was immaculate and our needs were catered for in every department. Washer and dryer is a massive bonus when away. The views were amazing and lical wildlife running round the garden was lovely. Really comfortable stay and would book again for the summer. Really needs a sign on the road as we turned up at night was very hard to see the track drove past twice! You wont be disappointed its a super property with incredible views.

Mr M,

excellent, very clean & well equipped property, with large gardens at the front & rear and great views over Oxwich bay. Only problem we had was leaving the driveway was tricky with restricted views onto the main road but other than that we would highly recommend

Mr D,

Location

Nicholaston is situated on the south coast of the Gower Peninsula in South Wales. The village lies within a stones throw of the beaches of Oxwich, Tor Bay and Three Cliffs. . A walk through the burrows will take you through heath land, woodland, sand dunes and cliff tops.
