Description

Beudy Tawe is only 8 miles from Swansea and is set on a peaceful hillside farm in the Swansea Valley. Nestled between the mountains of the Brecon Beacons and the coastal haven of Gower this Swansea Holiday Cottage is a perfect place to relax or to make the most of all the attractions and activities in the area.

Accommodation

Ground Floor

Kitchen/ Dining Area: Stylish open-plan fitted kitchen, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, grill, coffee maker, TV. The dinner table has seating for 6.

Reception: Large 50” TV, DVD and comfy leather sofas. Double doors opening out onto garden area and fantastic views.

First Floor

Bedroom 1: and Bedroom 2: 2 small double bedrooms both with wardrobes and both enjoy great views across the valley. Double with access from one side of the bed only.

Bedroom 3: Bunk bed room with 2 adult size bunk beds.

Bathroom 1: Half size bath with shower over bath, WC and wash basin.

Bathroom 2: Half size bath with shower over bath, WC and wash basin.

External: Patio area with bench and enclosed large field, ½ acres of lawns to enjoy and also wooden gazebo and BBQ area that is shared with one other cottage.

There is also a shared laundry room with washing machine and dryers

Sleeps 6: 2 Double, 1 Bunk

C/O day – Sat. Gas central heating. Bed linen and towels provided. Wi-Fi available. Highchair, travel cot and stair gate available (bed linen NOT provided for travel cot). Pets welcome(Max 2 dogs) at £15 each, but not allowed on furniture or in bedrooms. Please note this property does not accept cats. No smoking. You are not permitted to leave pets unattended at the property at any time, as stated in booking conditions. 

Welcome pack on arrival includes tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits. The following items are also provided at the cottage for your stay… Kitchen: salt and pepper, kitchen roll, washing up liquid/dishwasher tablets, new dishcloths and scourers, tin foil and cling film. Bathroom: liquid hand soap and 2 toilet rolls per toilet. General cleaning products: bleach, shower cleaner, anti-bacterial spray etc.

No car charging from the properties, the nearest charge point is at Tesco Pontardawe, 1.5 miles away

** Please note - Beudy Tawe is on the same site as Ysgubor Tawe (that sleeps up to 6) - So both can be booked together to accommodate bigger groups.

The welcome basket was just such a lovely surprise. The property has everything you need, brilliant bedrooms, and a fantastic living room. Great venue to explore such a beautiful part of Wales, smiled the whole time we were in the garden as it has such a fantastic views. Perfect hosts, so kind and helpful. We will be back!

We were a party of 2 adults, 4 children (aged 6-12) and 2 dogs. This was the best equipped cottage we have stayed in so far. There are multiple private fields in which to exercise your dog and local footpaths on the doorstep. You can drive into the local town of Pontardowe in 5 minutes for Tesco, Lidl, a pub etc. We had days out at the beaches in the Gower (under an hour’s drive) and also saw waterfalls on walks in the Brecon Beacons.

Beautifully presented, clean and well equipped cottage which was fantastic for our family of 5 plus dog. The upstairs is very compact but the downstairs was spacious and very comfortable and the outside space was ideal for the dog and teenagers. Lovely visits to the Gower Peninsula, including Oxwich Bay, and the caves in the Brecon Beacons. Would really recommend!

Beautiful cottage in a wonderful rural setting, the owners have obviously put a lot of thought in to the ‘extras’ there was a lovely welcome basket and the cupboards stocked with cooking and cleaning essentials. Lots to do in the area if you enjoy outside activities, plenty of walking, beaches and sight seeing. We had a great time.

Location

Beudy Tawe, only 8 miles from Swansea is a detached property that shares a courtyard with one other cottage on a peaceful, 36 acre, mountain side farm in the Swansea Valley. Despite the tranquil surroundings and stunning views the cottage is just less than a mile from the village of Pontardawe with a selection of local shops, pubs, bank and places to eat and drink. There is also a supermarket 2 miles away.

The Liberty Stadium home of Premier League side Swansea City and rugby team, the Ospreys, is only 7 miles away. Swansea also offers a great water park / swimming centre with 50m pool and numerous slides and water rides. Swansea, which has an excellent shopping centre, has great historic significance as it was the leading copper producer in the world in the 19th century. The National Waterfront museum is well worth a visit.

Only 12 miles away is the Gower ( designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and all its superb beaches and coastal activities. 11 miles to the North is the Brecon Beacons National Park with breath taking scenery and fantastic walks and other outdoor activities.

Swansea Watersports provide a full range of water sports activities and training for all ages and all levels of experience. 11 miles

Pontardawe Golf Club, in an elevated position with great views. 1.4 miles.

Mountain Biking - Afan Forest Park one of Britain’s premier Mountain Bike Tracks with 4 superb flowing trails and plenty of all weather single-track. 12 Miles

Cycle Tracks, NCN Route towards the Brecon Beacons or southwards towards Swansea 1.5 miles.

Afon Tawe, a lovely little river holding salmon, sea trout and brown trout. Contact Tawe and Tributaries Angling Association for day tickets. 1 mile
