Reviews

Good clean accommodation with a very comfortable bed.

Previous Customer,

Functional & clean with friendly, helpful owners

Mr F,

This was an excellent property for the peaceful holiday we needed. The hosts were very welcoming and we had a great time in a beautiful location.

Mr B,

A lovely queit setting. Extensive cooking equipment is supplied. It’s coming up to the time for Original cottages to rebrate the property and I think it shows, it’s tired, but I’m sure that it won’t take much freshen up. Comfortable and relaxing. The owners introduced themselves, but then just left us to enjoy our holiday. We knew where they were though if needed.

Mrs P,

Nice setting but lounge area a bit dark as you need a light on to read even during the day.

Mrs S,

We had a very relaxing stay using this as a base to see family and surrounding areas. It was lovely to arrive to a warm welcoming place after what turned out to be a really bad journey.

Mr P,

Location

Ger-y-llyn adjoins the owners property and is situated on an impressive 20 acre estate within a 200 acre working farm. One of two luxury Cardiff holiday apartments set in picturesque, tranquil countryside, within walking distance (approx 750m) of the welcoming village of Peterston-Super-Ely and only 7.5 miles from Cardiff city centre.

Peterston-super-Ely has a shop, post office and 2 friendly, local pubs both serving great food. The village church was made famous as a filming location for the BBC comedy series Gavin & Stacey. There are many enjoyable walks to be found including the Valeways Millennium Heritage Trail that passes through the village, and the quiet country roads provide great cycling. Despite the country feel there is a large Tesco and Marks and Spencer only 4 miles away.

Cardiff is a city of attractions, sport, culture and entertainment. It has many famous attractions including the The Millennium Stadium, Cardiff Castle, St. Davids' Hall, New Theatre and St. Davids 2 shopping Centre. These include trendy bars and restaurants, Olympic sized swimming pool and leisure facility, White Water Centre, Yacht Club, and numerous walking and cycling trails such as the Taff Trail and Cardiff Bay Barrage.

Located just over the border in the Vale of Glamorgan, the apartment is also well positioned to take advantage of the local market towns of Cowbridge and Llantwit Major as well as the Glamorgan Heritage Coast.
