Description

Frog Cottage, Llanmadoc

Frog Cottage and Tadpole Cottage are two classic stone Gower cottages that can be rented as separate holiday homes or together as one, as there is an inter-connecting door on the ground floor.

Frog Cottage, is the larger of two sleeping four, with cute Tadpole the perfect bolthole for two.

They are located in the village of Llanmadoc alongside one of Gower's most popular and traditional of inns, The Britannia, which boasts stunning views across the Loughor Estuary. The cottages are perfectly placed for a rural getaway close to the beaches of north and south Gower. Both are dog friendly, have secure gardens and combine original rustic features with modern fixtures and fittings such as electric underfloor heating.

Reviews

Delightful cottage in good location close to countryside and beach walks. Dog friendly. Convenient off road parking to rear of cottage. Very efficient wood burning stove in lounge. Just around corner from Britannia Inn and local community shop and cafe. Having two bathrooms was a bonus. We had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend this cottage for its character, comfort and location.

Mr L,

A comfortable and well equipped cottage in a location with an abundance of walks and close to the local pub where an excellent Sunday lunch is available (booking essential).

Mr T,

Nice relaxing place to stay. The area is beautiful. Friendly pub round the corner.

Mrs W,

I think the cottage was very much as we anticipated from the description.

Mr I T,

The cottage is lovely & is in a great location. We were unable to access the garden unfortunately as the 2 steps up to it are so deep & have no rail, so those mobility problems couldn't get up or down them.

Mrs M,

The cottage is fabulous as is it's location but if you have any mobility restrictions maybe something on the flat would be better.

Mr C,

Lovely cottage in a good location. Great pub and community shop/post office located in walking distance. Dog walks right on the doorstep. Had a lovely weeks stay there.

Miss C,

We were very unhappy with the cottage. 4 days without hot water apart from a small shower. Shabby, unkempt poor kitchen equipment. The sofa was very grubby we had to use covers on it then the cushions just sunk. We came home 2 days early

Mrs S,

A comfortable cottage in a lovely quiet location with many good walks. The Brittania Inn so nearby was a bonus!

Mrs M,

I had a perfect week staying at Frog Cottage. It was perfectly located with walks on the door step. I wanted a quiet week to just walk and be in nature and because of its location it meant I was able to do this. I didn't drive my car once. The Britannia Inn was welcoming and within a very short distance of the cottage so when I didn't want to cook I just popped in there.

Miss C,

Place was cosy, quirky and central with lovely walks, a small shop and a great pub all within 50m

Mrs Susan C,

Location

While places such as Mumbles, Langland, Oxwich and Port Eynon to the south of Gower are popular destinations, the hidden beauty of Gower can be found in the north of the peninsula.
