Description

The Granary is an award winning barn conversion, steeped in Gower history and offering accommodation for up to 5 people. The larger of the two barns (the other being ref: 408 the Stable), with 3 bedrooms and vaulted ceilings throughout there's a feeling of space owing to large windows and French doors, slate floors and an open plan layout.

Full of rustic features and charm, this Grade II Listed stone cottage is situated on Glebe Farm in Cheriton, a peaceful hamlet in North Gower close to the magnificent sandy beaches of Llangennith and Rhossili.

The farm is thought to be the oldest building on the peninsular, dating back to the 12th century and with beautiful countryside views and the most idyllic rural setting, a stay at Glebe Farm Barns really is a chance to enjoy a sense of being away from it all.

Reviews

Beautifully converted character building, lovely & very helpful owners.

Mr T,

Beautiful property. Great location and equipment.

Mrs Sarah G,

We had a lovely stay at the Granary. Gorgeous accommodation in a peaceful location - definitely recommend the pub up the road - The Britannia! Book for weekends in advance as we missed out on Sunday lunch there due to this. Accommodation owners lovely and friendly. It was wonderful to have such nice accommodation that we wanted to stay there some days rather than always going out exploring. A great stay for our first holiday as a family of three in Wales!

Ms F,

We had a wonderful week staying at the granary. The hosts were very welcoming and lovely accommodation in a perfect setting.

Mrs Emma E,

The cottage is relatively modern in style and its location is better suited to ramblers rather than a base for a family to explore the south west region of Wales in our opinion. It is 25 minutes away from Rhossili beach and a 30 minute walk to Whitesands Bay, so worth a trip if the weather holds and temperatures are high. The property was smaller than the photos suggested and whilst the advertised details stated SKY TV, it only had the main free to air " Freeview" channels. The main TV is next to the bedroom door which meant it couldn't be used when my youngest went to bed. The ground floor bedroom has a very heavy damp smell and the ceiling heights serving the first floor bedrooms is limited for anyone above 5'9". prepare to occassionally hit your head/ neck on the slopping ceiling and roof members. The wet room is very wet when the shower is used and the provided mop was useless - slippers or sandals are a must to keep your feet dry after someone uses the shower! The cottage also had no phone reception and was accessible by narrow lanes fitting one car width. There are no local amenities other than a pub and a village shop. The latter is not a convenience shop but more a coffee and cake retailer. The nearest supermarket shop is a Nisa Local which is about 5 miles way via narrow roads. Other than these points the property and location is okay for a short "off grid" break.

Mr Adrian W,

We have had a really super week here at Glebe Farm. The weather has been kind to us and we have been out and about enjoying the glorious beaches and countryside. Our 3 children have loved the farm and have enjoyed playing 'farmers' for a week. They love all the animals especially the cat and horse. Thank you for your warm hospitality and for creating such a relaxing atmosphere for our holiday. We look forward to coming back again next year !

Andrew & T,

This is our 10th year staying in the Granary and mum stayed in the Stable. As always, an amazing holiday with amazing barns and fantastic weather. 34 degrees every day 'beachtastic!' Thank you, we had an exceptional holiday and will see you all again next year

Previous Customer,

We have had a wonderful week in this beautiful area. Walking most days from the door. The Cottage was always a pleasure to return to and its situation totally relaxing. We hope to return to make sure it was not all a dream. Many thanks.

Paul & C,

A lovely week exploring the local area and had some fantastic beach days. The Granary has been very comfortable and has everything you could need. Thank you.

Previous Customer,

Lovely week at the Granary - beautiful house, plenty of space and lovely patio for eating out. Lots of lovely walks to various beaches and the local pub, The Britannia Inn for a couple of meals. Recommend the restaurant at the Britannia - excellent meal. Thank you for a lovely break - we will recommend to friends!

Previous Customer,

Our family has had the privilege of staying at the Granary on 2 occasions: August 2021 and July 2022. The whole family are tremendous hosts. The Granary is outstanding and the attention to detail is lovely. As non-drivers, we have made the most of the local areas and enjoyed the most beautiful walks. Our younger son enjoyed seeing all of the animals, especially the farm cats and village sheep. This is a very special place that we hope to visit time and time again. Diolch yn fawr!

The Thomas family,

Our family have had an excellent stay in the Granary. The Gower has provided a wonderful holiday. Amazing beaches, great food and friendly, welcoming hospitality. Thank you for having us.

Previous Customer,

A great stay, fantastic hosts. Got shown around the upper field and told about the history. The beaches are great and one is close to the Granary. Quiet. Loved the wildlife, we chilled. Thank you, lovely home.

Hooper family,

Location

While places such as Mumbles, Langland, Oxwich and Port Eynon to the south of Gower are popular destinations, the hidden beauty of Gower can be found in the north of the peninsula.
