Description

This fantastic holiday retreat is located in the heart of the idyllic Cotswolds AONB. The Cotswolds is known for its outstanding natural beauty, and the surrounding countryside is a paradise for nature lovers, with rolling hills, meadows and walking paths. Popular Bourton-on-the-Water is just 6.5 miles from the property and is a great example of a quintessential Cotswolds village, with its honey-coloured buildings and relaxing vibe. Enjoy one of the many tea rooms and shops, or simply take a stroll along the River Windrush which flows through the village. Visit Bourton Model Village, a 1/9th scale replica of the village itself, offering a unique perspective on its architecture and layout. Other attractions include the Bourton Cotswold Motoring Museum and Birdland (7 miles). This stunning barn conversion is part of a complex which consists of two large barns which have four spacious holiday lets in each. This is an ideal location for families and friends looking to get together right in the heart of the Cotswolds.

Enter into the spacious hallway and kick off boots and hang up jackets after a busy day exploring the local area. Step through into the open-plan living area, which has been designed with total relaxation in mind. Enjoy a movie on the Smart TV whilst sinking into the comfortable sofas. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need for a self-catered break, making use of some of the delicious local produce you will come across whilst out and about. There is a separate utility room where you will find a washing machine and tumble dryer. Back off the hallway, you will find the first of three bedrooms, with a lovely king-size bed and patio doors that lead you out to the enclosed garden. There is also an en-suite shower room, so this is a great option for guests who need to be on the ground floor. Completing the ground floor is a family bathroom with bath and WC. Climb the stairs up to the second floor, where you will find a further two bedrooms, one king-size and one twin bedroom. There is a further family bathroom with bath and separate shower.

Head out to the enclosed patio through the bifold doors from the lounge. This brings you out to a fantastic space to relax, with a hot tub and outdoor bench to enjoy some al fresco dining. The rural location means you have lovely views across the Cotswold countryside.

Reviews

Lovely property in a good location. A few more items of kitchen equipment would help if you want to cook meals. The hot tub was a big hit with all the family.

Mrs J,

We loved the setting and we had a lovely few days visiting the surrounding area but it would have been so much better without the above issues. The directions to the property did not take account of the road works/road closure signs and did cause us some problems and delay. I would recommend this property but with caveats.

Mrs K,

Apart from the recommendations we had a lovely holiday,we celebrated a wedding and birthday during our stay and we all enjoyed the hot tub

Mrs M,

The above comments seem like a big moan, but just meant to be minor constructive criticism, to make the accommodation 10/10.Very comfortable and spacious accommodation in a lovely village only 5 minutes from Bourton in the Water, and a great central location to visit the Cotswolds. The hot tub was a bonus, and we were lucky with the weather so used it virtually every night. We had cottage Number 1 which has lovely views, a great layout, and very private too.
