Pen Dinas (meaning ‘Top of the City’ in Welsh) is a brand-new apartment (with lift) in the most desirable location in Cardiff, along the gorgeous tree lined street of Cathedral Road. This fifth-floor property is just a 10-15-minute stroll from Principality Stadium, Cardiff Castle and all the shops, restaurants and bars that the bustling city centre has to offer.

With spectacular uninterrupted views over the City skyline, this bright and modern apartment makes from an ideal bolthole whether it’s for a shopping trip, sporting event or relaxing city-centre break – all the local amenities are on your doorstep.

Accommodation

Reception: Large corner sofa, TV with DVD, Blu-ray, Smart TV including apps and floor-to-ceiling windows capturing the views over the city centre.

Kitchen/ Dining area: Fully equipped ultra-modern kitchen with built-in ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and dining table.

Bedroom 1: King bed (zip’n’link, this can be made into a twin on request) and en suite shower room with shower unit, WC and a basin.

Bedroom 2: King bed (zip’n’link, this can be made into a twin on request) and en suite bathroom with shower over bath, WC and a basin.

Utility room: Washer/dryer, iron and ironing board.

C/O day – Fully Flexible. Bed linen & towels provided. Travel cot & highchair available on request (cot linen not provided). Wi-Fi available. No pets accepted. Board games and a selection of DVDs and books available. Parking is not included, however, there is free street parking within 5-minutes’ walk from the apartment. No smoking.

**Please note - Strictly not be hired for parties. The apartment is perfectly suited for 4 people but can sleep up to 6 with use of the sofa bed. There are 3 small steps from the hallway up to the apartment.

Stunning apartment in an amazing location. The apartment was immaculately clean and had lots of extra touches making it the perfect property for a stay in Cardiff. The beds were really comfortable, the bathrooms were really nice and the apartment had a lovely finish throughout. Easy 10-15 mins walk to the Principality Stadium and Cardiff's high street with bars/restaurants. Really nice coffee shop located on ground floor to the front of apartment block. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Location

Located on the 5th floor of a luxury development on Cathederal Road, just across the river from the Stadium, Cardiff Castle and the City Centre. The City Centre including the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff Castle and the main shopping centres are just a 5 min walk away. There are also some fantastic restaurants, bars, and local shops in nearby Pontcanna, as well as a licensed Café bar in the building itself.

For shopping, St Davids 2 shopping complex (including John Lewis) is a short walk away as are all the many City centre shopping arcades, boulevards and outlets. International sporting events and large-scale concerts from the world's biggest artistes are regularly held at the Principality Stadium, the Motorpoint arena , St. David’s Hall and the Millenium Theatre in nearby Cardiff Bay.There really is a special atmosphere in Cardiff on an International occasion and Cathedral Apartments is ideally located so that you can really savour this. Sophia Gardens, home of Glamorgan Cricket and a test match or one day venue is a throw of a cricket ball away and the City of Cardiff Stadium (home of Cardiff City FC) is within walking distance. With a wide range of theatres, halls and galleries there is a bustling entertainment scene in and around Cardiff, which features opera, ballet, musicals and offers live music from world-class acts. Cardiff Bay is only a short bus, taxi or water taxi ride away and is home to the Wales Millennium Centre, Y Senedd (The National Assembly building) as well as numerous other attractions. These include trendy bars and restaurants, jet boat rides, Olympic sized swimming pool and leisure facility, White Water Centre, Yacht Club and there are numerous walks and cycle routes around the Cardiff Bay Barrage.

 

Walking

Pontcanna Fields, adjoining Bute Park are only yards away from Pen Dinas and there are many walks to be enjoyed including Cardiff's Centenary Walk. 0.1 miles

 

Cycling

The Taff Trail is a multi-purpose route between Cardiff and the Market Town of Brecon in the North. 55 miles (88km) in length. A superb way to see South Wales. 0.1 miles

 

Water Sports

Cardiff International White Water (CIWW) - Canoeing and white water rafting facilities including kayaking, hydro speed and hot-dogging. All equipment can be provided. 2.5 miles

 

Fishing

Being a coastal city the areas around Cardiff have some superb sea fishing. Charter boats can be hired from Cardiff Bay. 2 miles

The River Taff is a recovering salmon river that also holds huge stocks of wild trout and grayling. Day Tickets available from local associations. 0.2 miles

 

Golf

There are many courses in the area including the prestigious Celtic Manor, a previous Ryder Cup host 18 miles. One of the closest courses is Cottrell Park, an idyllic venue set in the heart of 400 acres of beautiful parkland. 7 miles

 

Pony trekking

Surrounded by 35 acres of parkland close to the City Centre is Cardiff Riding School. All aspects of horse riding and care are catered for. 1 mile.

 

Beaches

With the Glamorgan Heritage Coast just around the corner there are numerous beaches to visit ranging from the bustling resort of Barry Island (9 miles) to the shores of stunning Southerndown. 20 miles.
